You will co-ordinate the manufacture of key API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) Intermediate processes and provide appropriate technical support to process teams to sustain and improve the processes. You will ensure flawless execution throughout each assigned campaign, focusing on the fundamentals of safety, quality, supply and cost. Cost Improvement Projects (CIP) development will also be a key part of your role.
As a Senior Associate, your knowledge and skills will contribute towards the goals and objectives of the team. Your focus and ability to meet team targets will help in completing critical deliverables. Your innovative use of communication tools and techniques will facilitate in explaining difficult issues and establishing consensus between teams.

QualificationsEducation / Experience:
Contribute to the completion of complex projects, manage own time to meet agreed targets and develop plans for work activities on own projects within a team.
Provide process technical support in order to sustain & improve the processes on site.
Ensure that projects are completed on schedule following established procedures and schedules.
Demonstrate flexibility and agility to fit any future business needs.
Coordinate all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) aspects.
Work closely with the Operations, Safety, Engineering, Quality Operations and Value Stream Teams to ensure processes are executed with zero defects.
Alter schedule as needed to provide coverage for appropriate testing priority.
Coordinate the Tech transfer of processes and technologies to/from other internal or external API sites.
Support the talent development strategy at the Pfizer sites.
5+ years of related experience and BS/BA in Chemical Engineering / Chemistry / related field.
3+ years of related experience and MS Chemical Engineering / Chemistry / related field.
Language Skills: Effective written and oral communication.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Applications.
Physical Demands: Frequent time in the manufacturing area around equipment with moving parts, stair climbing, roof access.
Work Environment: Office environment, with frequent time in the manufacturing. Use of hearing and eye protection is required. Colleague must be willing to work off-shift and weekends when project demands require it.
Project execution: History of delivering implementing cost reductions/eliminations, and experience in leading investigations and/or unit-wide initiatives or program changes.
PSM: Experience in process hazard analysis, LOPA, and other process safety management review.
Physical Demands: Frequent time in both manufacturing and office environments.
The manufacturing environment includes equipment with moving parts.
Must be able to perform gowning requirements for entry in the manufacturing areas.
Requires lifting, sitting, standing, walking, stair climbing and roof access. Must be available to support 24/7 - 365 operation.
Work Environment: Office environment, with frequent time in the manufacturing areas.
Possible exposure to high noise environments, solvents, and pharmaceutical ingredients.
Use of hearing and eye protection is required.
Must be available to support 24/7 - 365 operation.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Role supports a 24-hour production environment.
Primary responsibilities occur M-F during normal working hours.
Some off hour and holiday coverage may be required.
