SEC Reporting Manager

The SEC Reporting Manager is a key contributor to the accounting and finance team for a global manufacturing company. The role will lead the SEC external financial reporting process, including overall coordination of the planning and processes behind completion of filings of SEC comment letters, 10-Ks, 10-Qs, as well as the content of key footnote and MD&A disclosures. The role will also focus on delivering value to the Company and external users through assisting with the implementation and ongoing application of various accounting standards to ensure that management has the necessary information to make the best decision for the business. The SEC manager must be able to work at a technical level (accounting research) and at a tactical level (analyzing data, application of accounting standards and problem solving).

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare all documents supporting financial reporting, including 10-K and 10-Q SEC filings, quarterly earnings supplemental packages, and earnings press releases, ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting
  • Assist in monitoring and achieving compliance
  • Provide GAAP accounting expertise to corporate accounting department and support the monthly accounting close process
  • Design, prepare, and analyze ad-hoc reports to facilitate review of operational results by members of senior management
  • Lead special projects, as necessary

External Reporting

This position is responsible for assisting in the preparation, review and analysis of required SEC external financial statements (10-Q, 8-K,10-K, 11-K) as well as other filings as they arise (i.e. registration statements). These responsibilities include ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations. This role will work directly with business partners including but not limited to consolidations, treasury, corporate accounting, finance, and investor relations.

What you will need to be considered for this role:

  • Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience
  • Experience at a Big 4 or large public accounting firm
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA Preferred
  • SEC Reporting experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire to drive change and process improvements
  • Able to coordinate activities between various accounting and finance groups in the company
