Job Description

Order Picker:

Light industrial picking and/or packing in a clean warehouse setting. Pulls warehouse items accurately from shelves based on quantity requirements. Stages items correctly for packing/shipping while meeting specific customer demands in a timely manner. Ensures safety regulations are followed. Demonstrated ability with use of RF Scanners and systems-based order picking and packing preferred but not required. Full time and part time flexible hours.


Senior Laborer

Light industrial packaging in a clean warehouse setting. Work includes assembly, packaging, sorting, and quality control. Nothing over 25lbs in general. Industrial equipment used on some items but not all. Ensures safety regulations are followed. Full time and part time flexible hours.


Buyer Planner

Job Summary:

As a member of the Supply Chain Team, manages the analysis, sourcing and replenishment of assigned Product Categories. Maintains proper product documentation disciplines and assures that project management compliance is achieved in each assigned product category. Work closely with other functional department to develop company-wide teamwork. Has the responsibility for maintaining the quality standards for all items in their assigned product categories. Focus on products that provide best value and profitability for the Company.

Accountable for:

Providing planning and coordination within assigned categories.

Low cost/high quality sourcing and replenishment for all assigned products.

Building effective relationships with new and existing suppliers in order to achieve positive results for the Company.


Essential Functions:

Provide planning, direction and coordination for all assigned product categories while achieving optimum use of workers, equipment, materials and facilities.

Oversee the quality of sourced products.

Responsible for logistics from point of origin.

Involved with Plant Manager and Department Manager on “make” versus “buy” decisions (i.e. manufacturing in our own facility versus outsourcing).

Ensure that all designs comply with industry safety regulatory policies and environmental specifications.

Stay informed concerning new and innovative technologies and materials in order to reduce cost or drive a competitive advantage.

Support all current and new product introductions with Sales and Marketing collaboration.

Ensure that all product specifications are developed, and testing procedures are in place in a timely manner. Able to assist in reducing cost through re-engineering product/material.

Identify excess surplus and obsolete inventory that may be repackaged or eliminated.

Assist in the assessment of vendor/subcontractor evaluation for consideration.

Identify cost savings opportunities within assigned Product Categories.

Minimize and eliminate out of stock conditions, while maintaining inventory goals.

Continually educate oneself on negotiating skills and lean operating methodology.

Other duties as assigned.


Skills & Abilities

Proven track record of reducing costs through processes and efficiencies.

Previous purchasing/sourcing experience in a manufacturing environment.

Experience sourcing components and parts from manufacturers outside the immediate company, whether in the U.S. or outside of U.S.

Experience with low-cost region sourcing, especially Asia.

Skilled at negotiating costs and payment terms with domestic and international suppliers.

Hands on, team-oriented and committed to business improvement processes.

Strong problem-solving capabilities, able to work independently and proactively.

Ability to lead complex projects through to an end point, highly persistent.

Excellent communications skills, both oral and written.

Ability to use Calipers and read drawings and blueprints.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and MRP systems.


Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or related field.

Additional Licensing or Certification in Purchasing and/or Inventory Control Disciplines


Customer Service Representative

Job Summary:

Our growing business is looking for a skilled problem solver to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. We need an enthusiastic individual who can listen to customer service issues and then offer a unique and innovative solution to each problem. The successful candidate for this role will have a strong command of the company's customer service policies and be well-trained in product knowledge that can be critical for offering quick and accurate assistance to customers.

Essential Functions:

Answer incoming phone calls from Customers and Sales Team regarding orders, billing, product information and service questions, and general information.

Responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism with external and internal customers working to establish a positive rapport with every interaction.

Enter customer orders, quotes, and RMA’s and acquire approvals and expedite as needed.

Investigate customer and consumer complaints from phone calls, faxes and emails.

Assist Sales Team with requests as needed (reporting, order follow up etc.)

Assist with miscellaneous requests from other departments.

Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities

Minimum of two years prior experience in a customer support role required.

Proficient in Microsoft Office products, with emphasis on Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Excellent communications skills, both oral and written.

Ability to work with individuals within all levels of the organization and able to communicate at the appropriate level.


Education Requirements:

High School diploma or GED Required.

Some College experience (or equivalent experience) preferred.
