How you will Achieve More with Intellia:

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Manager to join our growing Finance team. In this role, you will manage a small team of accounts payable professionals and oversee the processing of weekly payments via check, ACH, and wire transfers. Additional role responsibilities include:

  • Assist with month-end close including accruals, AP account reconciliation, and ensuring individual and team deadlines and deliverables are met

  • Ensure invoices are properly coded with respect to account and project, and sales tax is appropriately applied or exempted

  • Create and implement goals, objectives, standards, and documented procedures for the accounts payable group

  • Work with internal stakeholders as needed to manage problem resolution, documentation, authorization, and expedited payments

  • Maintain vendor relationships, resolve payment inquiries including payment disputes, misapplied payments, and statement reconciliations

  • Work cross-functionally to create and automate the new supplier onboarding process

  • Assist in the identification and implementation of new systems and the automation of accounts payable and related accounting processes, including outsourcing of manual check process

  • Manage the annual 1099 reporting process

  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and fulfilling audit requests

Meet your future team:

This role reports to the Director of Accounting and works with the other members of the close-knit finance and accounting team. This role manages a team that currently consists of three accounts payable professionals. You will join a group of passionate individuals who enjoy working with one another. The financial organization comprises Financial Reporting and Internal Controls Accounting Operations, Equity and Payroll, FP&A Procurement, IT, Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, and Facility Operations.

The team currently contains both hybrid and remote employees. While we don't require you to be local to the Cambridge MA office, if local we do offer flexibility to work from home or in the office. Although in a partially virtual environment, the Accounting team has made it a priority to continue to foster a sense of community among the group.
