Global Markets offers sales and trading services globally, including research, to institutional clients across fixed-income, credit, currency, and commodity and equity businesses. Global Markets product coverage includes securities and derivative products in both the primary and secondary markets. Global Markets provides market-making, financing, securities clearing, settlement and custody services globally to our institutional investor clients in support of their investing and trading activities. We also work with our commercial and corporate clients to provide risk management products using interest rate, equity, credit, currency and commodity derivatives, foreign exchange, fixed-income and mortgage-related products.
Position Overview:
This role will provide HR support for the Global COO function within Markets, with ~200 employees globally. This role will also provide additional HR generalist support to other business lines across global Markets. Located in New York, NY, the Human Resources Manager will support key senior executives within Global Markets and COO and partner broadly across the Company to provide effective solutions to business and human resources issues. The individual will develop HR strategies that impact large, complex units within the global business supported and make valued suggestions for the accomplishment of key business goals. The HR Manager also develops and executes tactical plans at the business unit level to achieve strategic objectives, and combines strong organizational development skills and change management skills with core HR skills (staffing, compensation, employee relations). The following details specific responsibilities and deliverables for this key role:
  • Serve as a key member of the Global Markets Human Resources team.
  • Advise, counsel and influence the business leadership team in executing the business plan.
  • Strong org design knowledge required along with change management and the ability to devise a communications plan.
  • Build strong relationships to partner effectively with a variety of constituents across the globe.
  • As the HR generalist for COO, project management skills are required as the individual will need to lead HR operational projects related to people.
  • Proactively manage risk to safeguard the company's reputation.
  • Strong working knowledge of operating in a regulated environment
  • Advise on employee relations issues.
  • Liaise with the Staffing team on acquiring key talent, meeting senior hires and headcount management
  • Lead and deliver the year-end compensation process which required multi-tasking, the need to be detail oriented and ability to work under pressure.
  • Drive initiatives focused on employee satisfaction.
  • Participate in global initiatives across the Global Markets HR team.
  • Help identify efficiencies across the HR platform and bring best practices to the table.
  • Strong data analytic skills are required and excel knowledge strongly encouraged
Qualifications:
  • 7-10 years of HR Generalist experience, financial services required along with regulatory knowledge
  • Ability to operate with confidential matters, exercise sound judgment, use discretion and escalate concerns in a timely manner
  • Extensive experience in client management around complex strategic HR issues such as talent management, org design/development, change management
  • Strong communicator required in written, verbal and larger group settings
  • Proven ability to influence using a balance of technical HR expertise, business acumen, data analytics and relationship skills
  • Proven track record in developing strategy and driving change to help drive business results and execute on key initiatives
  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting organizational and workforce planning data and being able to tell a story around it
  • Experience managing in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing, geographically dispersed and highly complex environment.
  • Strong relationship management skills and the ability to develop strong interpersonal alliances at all levels
  • Ability to effectively partner with other key leadership partners such as Finance, Technology, Staffing, Learning and Compensation
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills/written presentation skills and ability to analyze data in excel
  • Bachelors' Degree in HR Management or a related field
