Job Description

This is an entry level position providing administrative support in the Human Resources Department. You will be assisting with a variety of clerical duties, data entry, and various ad hoc tasks as required. This position is remote. Hours: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Role will last for the remainder of the school year but might go temp to hire.

Responsibilities: •Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties. •Assist in managing employee relations by investigating, resolving, and communicating regarding employee questions, issues, or concerns. •Maintain current HR files and databases. •Perform file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained. •Handle employee outreach by reaching out to staff to ensure they have all items needed to complete their employee profile (college degrees, resumes, etc.) •Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities. •Serve as a point person for new employee questions. •Communicate personnel policies and procedures. •Ensuring background checks and clearances are completed in a timely manner. •Collect and verify timekeeping information for all employees. •Handle scheduling for training •Other duties as assigned.

Skills: •A minimum of one year experience in a Human Resources related profession, is a plus. •General knowledge of employment laws and best practices. •Knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) is a plus-willing to train •Excellent communication and management skills. •Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines. •Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, communication tools and related business. •Meticulous attention to details. •Ability to accurately follow instructions. •Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality in all matters. •High School diploma is required, Associate/Bachelor's degree is preferred
