Operates HVAC/Facility equipment such as air handling units, hot water treatment systems, air ducting equipment, and other facility / HVAC support systems. Position is heavily involved in HEPA filter testing in manufacturing clean rooms spaces. This position must adhere to all SOPs, cGMPs, and plant quality, site safety procedures, and documentation systems requirements. Other related duties essential to these operations or special assignments will be required as assigned. This position assures electrical and mechanical systems function adequately to minimize down time and provides for a safe work environment. This position is considered "essential personnel" to support site operations during adverse weather conditions.
What You Will AchieveInterprets and understand mechanical drawings.
Troubleshoots basic ac and dc components. (Example: relays, motors, sensors)
Reads and understand basic electrical schematics.
Resolves and setup maintenance issues.
Coordinates maintenance and PM activities with production personnel to minimize downtime.
Operate HVAC/Facility equipment and forecast needs based on customer needs.
Perform other related duties as required.
How You Will Achieve ItReads and interprets detailed blueprints and schematics; as well as, reads basic electrical and relay logic diagrams.
Uses testing equipment necessary in completing air quality testing in cleanrooms and use other power and manual tools to repair associated equipment and adjust testing equipment as required.
Remedy machine breakdowns in a prompt skillful and safe manner, minimizing machine downtime.
Makes useful recommendations regarding improved machine performance and process efficiencies
Performs preventative maintenance and repair of HVAC and Facility equipment.
Trains in production operations and performs maintenance requiring donning of appropriate controlled area garments to complete work
Function as a liaison between the HVAC/Facilities Department and site wide business partners.
QualificationsMust-HaveHigh school/GED with no less than 1 years manufacturing plant maintenance/shop experience required.
Associates Degree (or equivalent) in a technical field may be considered in lieu of experience.
Course work (or equivalent experience) in the general maintenance technology.
Knowledge of the general trades: i.e., construction, electrical, machine shop. Knowledge of basic mathematics.
Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
Sound interpersonal, decision making and problem solving skills
Nice-to-HavePHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Stand up to 8-12 hours per shift, sit for up to 2-4 hours per shift, twist at waist 10 times per hour, regularly lift up to 20 pounds per activity 5 times per shift, occasionally lift a maximum of 50 pounds per activity 1 time per shift, walk, climb stairs, climb ladders/walk on catwalks able to don and work in controlled area garments to accommodate area maintenance requirements.
