Exciting new opportunity at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center!

Conemaugh Nason Medical Center is currently seeking a Director of Human Resources. The Human Resources Director (HRD) is a strategic partner to the Facility CEO and other leadership team members, responsible for defining, developing, and implementing human resources initiatives. The HRD is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for all areas of Human Resources, including: employee relations, talent acquisition and assessment, compensation management, performance management, training and leadership development, policy and procedures, and managing a team of HR professionals.

Duties included, but are not limited to the following:

- Initiates and recommends procedures necessary to achieve objectives of the Medical Center to insure maximum utilization and stability of personnel.

- Investigates and approves all corrective action forms to ensure fair and equitable treatment is achieved with employee discipline.

- Confers and advises department directors as needed.



Job Requirements:

Education:

- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field required

- Master's Degree preferred

Certifications:

- PHR/SPHR preferred

Experience:

- Five years of progressive HR experience with a concentration on Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Training and Development and Compensation Management preferably in the healthcare industry.

- Supervisory experience overseeing various HR support roles preferred.

- Previous experience overseeing the employee relations of a large number of employees in multi-site setting highly desirable.

- Extensive knowledge of federal and state unemployment law, CMS, OSHA, and TJC regulatory compliance.

Required Skills:

- Knowledge of applicable state, federal, and local employment laws to include unemployment, FMLA, ADA, EEO, FLSA, and ERISA laws.

- Knowledge of State Workers' Compensation Laws to include OSHA and NIOSH standards.

- Advanced computer skills; ability to use Kronos, HRMS, and Excel.

- Requires critical thinking skills, complex communication, functional independent judgement, and project planning/organization.
