Position Description:
AMETEK Prestolite Power is in the business of providing superior battery charging solutions. Prestolite Power designs, manufactures and distributes high quality industrial battery chargers for the motive power industry.

Job Summary

The Customer Service Rep will be responsible for administration of order-flow function - generally including assistance with customer inquiry, pricing verification, specification verification, delivery verification, and order entry

Specific Responsibilities

Establish and maintain a good rapport through telephone, data and correspondence involved in processing customer inquiries and orders.
Review all incoming orders to ensure that the product specifications and price are consistent with those stated on price sheet, or on indicated quotation.
Enter orders into Oracle order entry system.
Advise customers of changes in price quotations caused by changes in quantity of products ordered.
Perform customer service duties on products sold by acting as a liaison between the customer and the Company.
Provide sales support to the National Accounts Sales Manager by tracking all national account sales numbers for reporting purposes.
Expedite internal delivery on orders to meet customer delivery requirements.
Coordinate with Sales and Marketing as appropriate.
Keep supervisor informed with regard to unusual problems or particular large inquiries. Report all significant changes in pricing or delivery trends that might affect Company sales.
Provide limited assistance to customers in the selection or application of products. Obtain assistance for customers with regard to changes in specifications that might lead to an improved product for their application.
Redirect and advise of complaints concerning billing, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation.

Must possess excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Order Entry using Oracle a plus.


Minimum of 1 year of Customer Service related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience


High school diploma, or equivalent.

Physical Requirements
