Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) will lead COMPANY's ongoing commitment to support and promote the strategic use of information technology to advance the overall mission of the organization. Reporting to the President, the CIO will lead and manage the information technology (IT) services division including help desk/support services, infrastructure, networking, project management office, programming services and clinical application integration.

The CIO serves as the principal technology leader for COMPANY providing the vision and leadership for developing and implementing technology strategies and initiatives organization-wide. This is responsible for the overall strategic direction and tactical delivery of all information technology systems and solutions to support the company's business and clinical operations.

The CIO is responsible for anticipating and maintaining a vision for the future technology needs at COMPANY, and for recommending strategies, priorities, and projects that will best achieve the organization's strategic goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the senior leadership to develop and maintain a technical and product vision for COMPANY by identifying opportunities and risks for delivering the company's services through technology and innovation. Dispense technical vision, guidance and authorization to carry out major plans and procedures.
  • Establish current and long-range direction of technology aimed at keeping the organization on the forefront of change.
  • Oversee, execute, and coordinate the design, development, marketing and maintenance of technology projects according to project plan and in alignment with resources.
  • Identify and analyze new technologies to elevate IT performance for COMPANY's future growth and initiatives, then develop the ROI analysis and metrics to influence leadership decisions.
  • Advocate and promote the interfacing and control of COMPANY present technology and the dissemination of technology information throughout the enterprise.
  • Lead the development of policies, procedures and standards for computer-based business systems including but not limited to IS infrastructure, applications, information systems security and disaster recovery.
  • Lead a highly customer centric/service oriented organization to support COMPANY business operations.
  • Develop enterprise objectives and budget to facilitate orderly efficient capture, storage, processing and dissemination of information.
  • Demonstrate the ability to engage with a wide range of people in a Strategic Business/IT agenda.
  • Build relationships and partner with key user and business line teams to identify and resolve business issues.
  • Manage financial aspects of projects and staff including project cost/benefits, vendor negotiation, department expense control, and budgets

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a related field of Computer Science, Technology or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in progressive roles, managing IT operations quality control, process improvement, and compliance.
