Job Description

Responsible for the sales and marketing of Redback Drilling Tools products for North America and South America. Focal areas include:

  • the development of a sales growth plan
  • establishing and maintaining customer relationships
  • promote the excellent reputation of Redback/SGS in the marketplace through the attendance of relevant industry events.


  • Increases sales and grows profitability in assigned accounts.
  • Proactively progress and nurture sales pipeline opportunities across key customer segments
  • Deepen existing customer relationships by cross-selling products/services and solutions.
  • Create and maintain business relationships with key customers, contacts and management through regularly scheduled meetings.
  • Maintain sales information systems (CRM) and expense reporting systems.
  • Communicate weekly highlights, contact reports, expense reports, etc. in a timely and accurate manner to the Business Development Manager.
  • Anticipate customer needs and work as a conduit with the relevant SGS businesses to ensure operational fluidity.
  • Research, recommend and attend appropriate industry conferences and company meetings.
  • Take the lead on promoting self development through participation in company approved technical sales and leadership training programs in addition to on-the-job learning opportunities.

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in technical discipline, with a minimum of five (5) years of transferrable experience in the industry or other related industry.
  • B2B sales and business development experience in technical fields managing diverse stakeholders from procurement, technical, and operational staff as well as key influencers and decision-makers.
  • Must be able to travel to various locations with assigned region.
  • Must have outstanding oral and written communication skills as well as significant prior experience crafting important internal communications. Ability to interact and effectively communicate with individuals at all levels in an organization
  • High levels of resourcefulness, influence/organizational savvy, execution skills (strategy through implementation) as well as executive presence/impact are critical to the success of this individual
  • Demonstrate strong computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Previous experience in Drilling equipment sales/rental will be highly regarded.

  • Must have unquestionable business and personal integrity ethical standards.
